Making Machine Learning More Human
This blog series is a gentle introduction to machine learning for people who are curious about what it is but are frightened away by all the technical jargon and scary-looking equations. Because machine learning tries to emulate the way humans learn, I connect various ML concepts to their human counterparts. Since we’re all experts at being human, hopefully this will translate into making machine learning much more understandable!

- New York: A Documentary Film by Ric Burns. This is a wonderful documentary series about the history of New York — spanning from its origins right up into the 21st century. It culminates in Episode 8, which focuses entirely on the World Trade Center. An Episode 9 centering on the years since 9/11 is in the works.

- PlanetPlanet: This is an amazing blog about realistic sci-fi worlds. The author, Sean Raymond, uses concepts in astronomy and physics to come up with planets that could be intriguing settings for a science fiction story. Here’s an example:
